Stalking sheepshead on the Texas flats is the ultimate chess match. These hyper-aware, picky fish demand a flawless cast and true patience. Success means placing the fly exactly in their restricted field of view, waiting out their intense scrutiny, and setting the hook perfectly when they tip down to eat your fly.
Black Drum

Poling through the flats in search of tailing black drum is a game of absolute proximity. These tanks feed with their noses buried in the mud, demanding a fly delivered right in front of them. Anglers who place a flawless cast directly in their path will be rewarded with watching the fish tilt down and vacuum up the fly.
Speckled Trout

Speckled trout are aggressive ambush predators that inhabit grassy Texas flats. Anglers who can get their fly near a hungry trout will be rewarded with watching a potentially massive trout surge from the grass and violently slash the fly.
